'CERAMICA'

'Ceramica' is an exhibition of pots made by the group who meet on Friday morning at ClayWorks, 111B Eastbank Street, Southport. This is the pottery studio set up by SCA, about 18 months ago, to provide working space for ceramicists of any ability. This group was formed early on and has stayed together ever since. There is a mix of abilities and ages, with Betty being the oldest at 92years. We have seen the potters mature over time and this exhibition is a great show case for what can be achieved with ambition, application and guidance.

The private view yesterday was well attended and a rash of red dots were put out. A special mention must be made to the Mayor of Sefton and his companion. They spent a couple of hours chatting to exhibitors and SCA directors about what everybody had achieved and were very encouraging about how things could develop in the future.
