Projects /Events

As a community of artists and makers, we are passionate about connecting creativity across the town and enabling the community to experience a wide variety of artistic activities as well as gain an appreciation of the creatively talented town that Southport is.
Our Annual Arts Trails have welcomed thousands of visitors over the last 10 years and we hope to resume them in 2022, having had the disruption of 2 seasons of Covid.

Fundraising

SCA's members and classes are regularly involved in fundraising & charity work initiatives for Royal British Legion, Children in Need, Dementia Care, Cancer Care

Partnerships

We support 'Elevate' the schools partnership organisation by giving work experience opportunities each year to Year 10 & 11 youngsters.
We also regularly work with Autisms Initiative creating engaging and interactive classes and workshops.
ArtsTrail

Each year SCA organise this community Arts Event which aims to celebrate the creative community in which we live and work. A community that makes such a valuable contribution to the cultural life of Southport.

Each year the event grows and develops its own personality, but we always aim to include the active working spaces of individual artists, as well as lots of interactive activities that the public can get involved with.

We also really enjoy including, and working with, other creative organisation in the town, to give the Arts Trail a really diverse cultural range, with something for every age group and creative interest.

Creative Connectivity
To celebrate our 10th Anniversary at ArtHouse, the SCA Team, and several of our creative partners, have put together a great selection of ways for you to get involved with a range of arts activities. Many of them free, and all are happening during June 2023
Grants and Funding

Where as for 90% of our projects we generate our own funding and have been able to support ourselves independently, we have also worked with various organisations and grants for larger or one off projects.
